Berebut Memberi Perhatian Kepada Orang Asli Gua Musang

GUA MUSANG: The problems of the Orang Asli have received attention over the past week as political parties competed to secure their support. The sudden spotlight trained on Orang Asli is understandable as the 1,889 Orang Asli votes may tip the result of the Galas by-election today.

Their votes represent 16.37 per cent of the 11,553 electorate in Galas.

Barisan Nasional and Pas campaigners arrived in droves in Orang Asli villages when the campaigning period officially kicked off on Oct 26.
The polling districts of Lojing, Sungai Ber, Balar, Bihai and Hau were thrust into national limelight during the period.

Lojing has the most number of voters at 606, Sungai Ber (411), Belatim (160), Balar (232), Bihai (278) and Hau (254).
